Roderick Kiracofe Collection now at International Quilt Museum

I am incredbly pleased to share that 35 quilts from my collection are now permanently at the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, NE, where many people will be able to enjoy them for generations. The quilts are incredibly well chosen including the cover quilt for Unconventional & Unexpected. I wrote to the IQM:

Irregular, over-sized four-patch blocks, not perfectly pieced together; three red blocks placed in opposite corners; and the placement of the large pink circular print fabric –how could this maker not have gone to art school? The framing on three sides of the backing brought to front makes for a delicate frame to contain the boldness of the center. I love the 8 large pieces of fabric she used to create the backing. Used as the front cover quilt for Unconventional & Unexpected.

Thank you to the staff at IQM for caring for these unconvetional quilts that have been a part of my own life in the quilt barn for so long.
